CLOTHING DESIGN
The assignment was to take a word/s or quote and turn it into a design for a t-shirt. This was designed when Bad Guy by Billie Eilish was extremely popular. Depending on the garment, the design will be on the upper left in pocket size and full size on some t-shirts and jumpers. The design will also be full-size on garments with the design pocket-sized on the front.
The ‘DUH’ lips are used red for garment tags to create a distinct connection between the brand and the t-shirt design. This logo design will appear on the garment tags and external tags and other promotional material.

This project was to use text, whether that be one word, phrase or lyrics and create a design that could be screen printed. I started this process by choosing lyrics from a popular song at the ideation time. I then started sketching and looking for inspiration to develop my design. I was particularly looking into shapes and lines in the elements I was looking to incorporate into my design.
After playing around with some hand-drawn sketches, I turned to Illustrator to begin creating a digital version. This consisted of trial and error to make a design that was edge and reflective of the lyrics.
